Today’s shoot was a Saturday morning one. I wanted to get some different shots to the kind I’ve got before of the pipers sitting around and chatting so I aimed to get some more detail shots and some of full sets of bagpipes. As shown in the photos below I spent most of the time in the yurt at the garden centre where one of the pipers was fixing a set of pipes for one of the younger members. I also liked the photograph at the top which shows one of the men’s hands next to his chanter because it’s very sharp.
I did take a flash with me but I ended up barely using it because I didn’t like how harsh it made the images. I think that I’ll be using flash on Wednesday to shoot portraits and I’m going to test it out on my flat mates before hand so I get the settings I want.
